When does the Fortnite season end? This is the question on the minds of everyone who thinks about purchasing the Fortnite battle pass. If you thought Fortnite is dying, you got another thing coming.

Fortnite Chapter 5 recently kicked off, so everyone is flocking back to the game to try out the new features. New Fortnite seasons are some of the most exciting times, so let’s see how long this one will last and should you get that battle pass.

When does Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 end?

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 ends at 2 a.m. ET March 8, 2024 (11 p.m. PT March 7).

When Does the Fortnite Season End?

Chapter 5 Season 2 is expected to launch on March 8, 2024, so that’s when the current Season 1 ends. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 started on December 3, 2023, so there’s still time to grind that battle pass.

Fellow Fortnite enthusiasts will be glad to hear that Chapter 5 is now live and it’s packed with a bunch of awesome new features and expansions to make your gaming experience even more exciting. This game is always on the move, and now we’re diving into Epic’s winter break with the new season.

Not all Fortnite seasons are the same, and they usually have varying run times. Chapter 5 Season 1 will last a bit longer than recent seasons but just in the ballpark compared to all Fortnite seasons prior.

As the launch season for a new Chapter, it’s typical to have a few extra weeks. But don’t worry, this one won’t last as long as the epic Chapter 2. On the other hand, the current Battle Pass is plenty of fun, ensuring that nobody will be glad to bid it farewell.

When Does The Fortnite Battle Pass End?

Epic Games has amped up their communication game this season, giving us an official end date from day one. So, mark your calendars for the second week of March 2024! That’s when the Fortnite battle pass ends, alongside Season 1 of Chapter 5.

When the Fortnite season officially wraps up on March 8th, it will have lasted 99 days. This is the longest lasting battle pass cycle since Chapter 3 Season 3. So it’s still worth it to get that battle pass and collect some rewards!

Remember that Epic loves to spice things up, occasionally changing in-game timers. They’ve even thrown in some surprises in the past, like giving out cosmetics without quests as an apology. If you’re one of the best Fortnite players, you’ll probably get even more rewards.

While there hasn’t been any indication so far, we’ve seen how things can change in the blink of an eye. Chapter 5 Season 1 will probably lean towards the longer side.

But with all the exciting new features like Winterfest on the horizon, and three separate games launching within Fortnite, a few extra days sound more than fair.

Now, the burning question: Will the current season be extended? While there’s always a chance, the end date of March 8th, 2024, seems pretty solid this time. Epic Games seems to have their schedule more organized for this Chapter, with leaks already pointing towards testing for C5 S3.

Chapter 5 Season 2 Delay?

While this is the end date announced by Epic Games, it could be modified if a delay happens. Advancing to the following season takes a lot of work, and the content might just not be ready, as has been the case before.

The new Battle Pass for Chapter 5 Season 1 contains new Peter Griffin and Solid Snake skins, but you must reach level 200 to obtain those. That means that you have to gain a few levels per day if you want to unlock all its cosmetic items. Hopefully, these don’t end up on Fortnite rule 34.

But there’s a good chance that even if Chapter 5 Season 1 officially ends on March 8, the new Season may not start until the following day. After the rumored live event, the servers will go offline for a longer period as developers work to prepare the game for the big update.

Speaking of Chapter 5, so far we’ve got a wider Fortnite world with a fresh map, new weapon mods, and even a complete overhaul of movement. It basically feels like a new game with new animations and features.

On top of this, three new games have joined the Fortnite family this season. These include a Lego mode, a rhythm game called Fortnite Festival, and a thrilling racing mode named Rocket Racing.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 Leaks

The new season is still a few months away. But that hasn’t stopped the massive Fortnite community from digging around looking for clues. Apart from the Doctor Who event that still hasn’t taken place, we can expect a lot more content.

New leaks from credible sources on Twitter say that Greek mythology will be the main inspiration in the next season. There will be many new skins based on Greek gods that will take center stage.

We can also expect an overhaul of the map in that style since the rumored codename of ‘Aiga’ derives from the Greek language. Other sources claim that we might see more LEGO content and even Guitar Hero coming to the Fortnite festival.

Sources claim that Fortnite will collaborate with LEGO to introduce Ninjago buildings, enemies, and bosses to its respective game mode. Now that Fortnite without building, is a separate game mode, I’m sure that nobody will mind additional content.
