But if you get to compete against players of similar skill, it suddenly becomes a lot easier to win, and the game can be really fun.

The Splitgate ranking system is very intuitive. To climb the Splitgate rank levels, you need to win matches against players of similar strength.
Each ranked mode has its own Elo score. The higher a player’s Elo, the higher their rank is going to be. Losing matches makes you lose Elo, so you’ll want to avoid that as much as possible.
Key Features of Splitgate
Splitgate feels like a spiritual successor to Portal and utilizes many of its mechanics. However, it also adds a lot of gunplay into the mix and makes the FPS experience quite compelling.
If you want to compete with your friends, you are encouraged to do so. The game is played in two primary modes: Takedown and 4v4.
These modes offer the possibility to play ranked matches, which is why they’re the most popular.
Takedown
This is a 3v3 game mode in which the goal is to kill the entire enemy team without offering its players the chance to respawn.
This happens quite fast, so you’ll need to be even faster. Or, if you’re the one in danger of losing the match, you need to find a way to stay alive long enough for your teammates to respawn.

4v4
In the 4v4 ranked mode, players can compete in 3 different styles:

- King of the Hill
- Team Deathmatch
The Domination game mode is all about controlling key points on the map. There are 3 Hills in total and the players fight to gain control over them.
When you have control of a Hill, you get 1 point per second. Whoever gets to 600 points first, wins the match.
The King of the Hill game mode revolves around controlling a Hill whose map location changes during the match.
Each second of control is worth 1 point. The winner is the one with the highest number of points at the end of the match.
Team Deathmatch is all about killing players from the enemy team. You get 1 point per kill. The team that scores 50 points first wins the match.
How to Climb The Splitgate Ranks Faster
To become a better Splitgate player, you need to work on several aspects of your game:
Guns
Splitgate offers players a wide array of guns and tools that they can use to win matches. Learning how each of these guns works takes time.
You should be comfortable shooting with every type of gun in the game because you don’t always get to use your favorite weapons.
Whether it’s a Battle Rifle, a Shotgun, or an SMG, you need to understand what its strengths and weaknesses are.
Otherwise, you’ll engage in battles that you cannot win. For example, using a Shotgun at long range is a bad idea. This gun is not designed to work that way.
Portals
